ABOUT THE AUTHOR(S):

T. V. Rao is currently the Chairman EMPI's Udai Pareek HR-LABS and also of T. V. Rao Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd, Ahmedabad. He was a Professor at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) between 1973 and 1994 and, subsequently, Adjunct/Visiting Professor until 2014. He is the Founder President of the National HRD Network (NHRDN), and the First Honorary Director of the Academy of HRD, India. He was also the President of the Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Science (ISABS). Dr Rao has worked as an HRD Advisor to the Reserve Bank of India, has assisted the Administrative Reforms Commission in reviewing the personnel management practices for civil services, and has also served as a member of the HRM Review Committee of Nationalised Banks set up by the Ministry of Finance. Dr Rao has worked as a short-term consultant to UNESCO, Ministry of Health, Indonesia; National Entrepreneurial Development Association, Malaysia; and the Commonwealth Secretariat, London. Dr Rao has over 50 books to his credit, of which 15 are authored jointly with Dr Udai Pareek.

Anil K. Khandelwal is a former Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Baroda and Dena Bank. For transforming Bank of Baroda into a valuable brand, he received the prestigious The Asian Banker, Singapore Leadership Achievement award for lifetime achievement and contribution to excellence in the financial services industry, the only Indian banker to receive this so far. He has been rated among the 100 most powerful CEOs for three consecutive years (2005–2008). He is a recipient of Life Time Achievement award from NHRDN. He has been a UNDP Consultant to Banking Reforms Commission, Government of Tanzania, and a Visiting Professor to Asian Institute of Management, Manila. The government appointed him to head

a committee to study HR in public sector banks. The report, popularly known as Khandelwal committee, has led HR reforms in public sector banks. His book Dare to Lead (SAGE, 2011) has been a best seller. He is currently a Corporate Advisor, Board Member, and Consultant on governance, leadership, and mentors CEOs. He has been an HR advisor to international consulting firms such as Accenture, Booz and Company, and Hewitt.
